Assisted stretching
powereD by epic stretch
Assisted stretching uses custom, hands-on techniques like PNF, joint traction and joint mobilization to improve flexibility, mobility, and overall performance, helping you move better, feel better, and recover faster.
MOBILITY requires intention
Large studies involving people ages 5–91 show that overall flexibility tends to decrease with age. Remaining active helps, but maintaining mobility requires intentional work.
Assisted stretching helps you continue accessing the positions your body needs for training, work, recreation, and everyday life.
CONSISTENCY CHANGES HOW YOUR BODY TOLERATES MOVEMENT
Regular stretching improves more than temporary range of motion. A meta-analysis covering 65 studies and 1,542 adults found that stretching can reduce muscle-tendon stiffness. Consistent stretching also improves the body’s tolerance to greater ranges of motion one of the primary mechanisms behind lasting flexibility gains.
JOINTS NEED TO MOVE too!
Not every movement restriction comes from “tight muscle.” Healthy movement also depends on how well the joints glide through their available range.
Joint mobilization uses controlled, targeted movement to address joint restrictions and create better conditions for comfortable motion. It works best as part of a complete approach that includes stretching, movement, and strengthening.
DECOMPRESSION CREATES SPACE TO MOVE
Gentle traction applies a controlled pulling force intended to temporarily reduce compression and create separation within targeted joints. This may make movement feel more comfortable and help the surrounding muscles relax.
What is full mobility worth to you?
Stretching gives you that freedom.
Who assisted stretching is for:
For athletes, assisted stretching optimizes range of motion, reduces soreness, and prepares the body for the demands of intense training and competition.
For professionals and desk workers, it targets the tightness that builds up from prolonged sitting, including the back, hips, and neck, releasing tension and correcting postural imbalances so daily movement feels easier.
Why we include stretching
Assisted stretching isn't separate from your training, it's part of it. Paired with personal training and ARK8 group classes, it rounds out a complete approach to building strength, staying mobile, and recovering the right way.
Stretching Techniques we love:
No two bodies move the same way, so no two sessions should either. These are the core techniques Andres uses to restore mobility, ease tension, and keep you moving at your best.
-
The PNF Method (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) is a dynamic method combining muscle contraction and relaxation to boost flexibility and range of motion, while building a stronger mind-body connection.
-
Decompresses the spine and relieves pressure on joints, sprains, and spasms. Especially effective for pinched nerves or sciatica.
-
A gentle technique that restores joint alignment, reduces stiffness, and improves range of motion.
